The renaming of our school from the Hebrew Academy of Morris County (HAMC) to Gottesman RTW Academy recognizes the long-term commitment, generosity, and vision of benefactors and alumni parents, Paula and Jerry Gottesman, generously gave a $15 million challenge gift from the Paula and Jerry Gottesman Family Supporting Foundation of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ (JCF).
Our name also honors our three founding families: Michael and Midge Rubenstein (R) , Alvin and Charlotte Turner (T), and Morty and Beatsy Wertheimer (W). The foresight, wisdom, energy, and deep commitment of these three wonderful families turned the dream of a Jewish day school for Morris County into a reality over 50 years ago.
